SUBSIDIZED CHILD DAY CARE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
In order for a person to obtain subsidized Child Care, the following requirements must be met:
- Pennsylvania resident
- Each parent must be working at least twenty (20) hours per week
- ** see Training Information below**
- Family income falls within the prescribed guidelines
- U.S. citizenship (for the child only)
DOCUMENTATION OF INCOME
Families are responsible for a weekly fee based on income and number of people in family. Documentation of all income and work status is required to establish eligibility. This documentation could include current pay stubs, proof of child support from any non-custodial parent-if receiving support, or copies of profit/loss information from tax returns if self-employed. All additional income (this could include workmen's compensation, social security and disability) is also required to be reported to CCIS office.
If you are attending an accredited training program and work at least 10 hours per week, the time spent in training will count toward the 20 hours per week work requirement.
TEEN PARENTS INFORMATION
Funding for teenage parents to complete their high school education is also available through the Child Care Information Services of Schuylkill County. There are no work requirements for teen parents while they are attending high school.
*Please contact the CCIS Office for additional verification requirements*
If you are determined eligible for subsidized Child Care and there are currently no funds available, you will be placed on a county wide waiting list and notified when funds do become available.
